The Summit Club, Las Vegas
Wealthy buyers have been flocking to Las Vegas thanks to its zero-state income tax, great weather and of course, the fantastic 24/7 entertainment on offer. The city is best known for The Strip, lined with its glamorous hotels, multiple casinos, theatres, bars, clubs, and restaurants.
This legendary stretch of South Las Vegas Boulevard is one of the most popular party destinations in the world. With world famous acts on show every night and exotic casino’s offering a gamers paradise of slots, roulette and poker, Vegas has it all.
The most affluent and sought-after area in Las Vegas is without doubt the incredible Summit Club. The site sits in the western foothills near Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area and just south of The Ridges.
Opened in 2015, The Summit Club raised the bar for Las Vegas luxury homes with its superb architecture and panoramic desert setting. This 555-acre gated community boasts an ultra-exclusive country club and is home to only 260 houses, with lot sizes ranging from 1 to 3 acres.
Prices started around $2,000,000 rising to $10,000,000, although several buyers have since purchased multiple plots and combined them into larger dwellings. The properties are a collection of stylish suites, desert bungalows, golf cottages and villas, all designed to sit sympathetically in the landscape.
With a Tom Fazio designed 18-hole golf course and 5-star amenities including wellness and recreation services, there is no shortage of things to do at the Summit Club. And with Las Vegas a short drive away, residents are never far away all the city has to offer.
Cologna, Switzerland
Sitting on the left bank of Lake Geneva, between the Jura and Mont Blanc, is the exclusive, enclave of Cologny. A stylish town of just over 5,000 residents, Cologna offers privacy and a countryside charm, despite being just a few kilometres from the centre of Geneva.
The town boasts wonderful lake views, mature, tree-lined streets and villa-style dwellings that have made it a coveted home for bankers, diplomats and global celebrities. The average price for houses in the area is around $10 million, although grander homes can reach $20 million to $25 million.
With Geneva hosting the European United Nations HQ, the Red Cross, and the World Trade Organization, many diplomats and bankers live in Cologny because of the convenience and privacy it affords. Other notable residents of the town include the heirs to the Chanel and Peugeot fortunes.
The centre of Cologny retains a village-like feel with lots of local shops including bakeries, florists, boutiques and fine dining. However, proximity to both Lake Geneva and Geneva city centre are at the root of the town’s popularity.
Geneva is best known as a worldwide centre for diplomacy, thanks to the many organisations based there, and a global financial centre. The city’s glamorous rue du Rhône is a few kilometres from Cologny and hosts luxury shops that include Fendi, Hermès, Christian Louboutin, Piaget and Montblanc.
With the wonderful Lake Geneva to explore, the finest chocolatiers, stunning scenery and skiing on their doorstep, it’s no surprise Cologny is so popular with the rich and famous.
Palm Jumeirah, Dubai
Dubai is one of the most popular destinations in the world, thanks to its warm climate, modern architecture and many luxury restaurants, hotels and shops. From desert safaris to snow skiing at the indoor Ski Dubai Resort, this city offers something for everyone.
Many people marvel at the incredible skyline with its towering, futuristic skyscrapers, including the worlds tallest building the Burj Khalifa. This 828 metre, 160-story skyscraper with observation deck holds multiple word records.
But Dubai’s impressive feats of engineering do not end there. Built from reclaimed land in a series of artificial archipelagos, the Palm Jumeirah is a luxurious palm tree shaped ‘resort’ on the Persian Gulf.
Comprised of a two-kilometre-long trunk, a crown made up of 17 fronds and a surrounding crescent, Palm Jumeirah is the world’s largest man-made island. It is home to over 4,000 premium villas located inside gated communities, all offering sea views and amazing five-star facilities.
If you want to be even closer to the sea, then you can always enjoy the delights of Dubai with luxury living on board a yacht.
Bronxville, New York
The Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Central Park, Times Square, Broadway, Madison Square Garden, plus the Jets, Giants, Nets and Mets to name just a few. New York is a vibrant, iconic city that attracts people from all over the world.
Just a few miles north of New York is Bronxville, one of the most charming regions in the affluent Westchester County. The village has a distinct vibe and style that is reminiscent of a typical English village with lots of independent shops, cafes, and restaurants.
Bronxville, perhaps unsurprisingly, is situated on the banks of the Bronx River and a short train ride from New York. Many of its residents are wealthy people who work in the city and enjoy the peaceful contrast that the village offers after a day in New York.
In short, Bronxville offers a rural village lifestyle to residents, without the need to sacrifice the many attractions of The Big Apple.
