Profiling the standout players in the NBA so far

The current NBA season is well underway. Since starting in mid-October there have been plenty of standout performances, with top players making their mark across the league.

Here is a selection of players who have got the season off to the best possible start.

Kevin Durant

The Brooklyn Nets player Kevin Durant has proven himself to be one of the best players in the league time and time again. The start of this season is no exception, with Durant currently ahead of the mighty Giannis Antetokounmpo in the scoring charts. His performances have played a huge part in ensuring the Nets are the current favorites to lift the championship in the 2021-2022 NBA betting season.

Durant is no stranger to the highest echelons of NBA success, having won the MVP award, three gold medals and the highest scorer on four occasions. And following an injury setback two years ago, the 33-year-old has changed his game to make the most of his unquestioned ability.

Durant has scored big so far this season with a selection of mid-range shots that are difficult for defenses to combat. Given Durant’s size and strength, the potential for a mid-range jump shot to surprise is enormous. medalschina.com/custom-medal

The importance of Durant to the Nets has been proven many times so far this season. It was seen in detail with the impressive comeback against the Dallas Mavericks recently.

A 17-point deficit in the third quarter was overturned partly due to Durant’s point-scoring. His combination with teammate James Harden sealed the result in the fourth-quarter which the nets took 27-13.

Durant’s ongoing strength and precision point-scoring look likely to inspire the Nets to do great things this season.

Stephen Curry

Curry once again displayed his high-scoring prowess in the NBA when his team the Golden State Warriors took apart the Orlando Magic 126-95.

Curry showed off all his strength and skill with an amazing 31-points across the game. The biggest scorer of three-pointers so far in the league, Curry scored from seven out of thirteen attempts from outside the area.

Curry’s incredible ability to spot a point-scoring opportunity has a big reason for the Warriors’ success so far this year. Currently leading the Western Conference, the Warriors look a good bet for further success in the season.

Zach Levine

Levine recently underlined his importance to the Chicago Bulls by stepping in for DeMar DeRozan to score 32-points in the home win over the Denver Nuggets.

Still only 26-years old, Levine’s game has come on a long way since he was mostly known for being a slam dunker.

Levine now offers his side a strong all-around game that sees him have the potential for strong play up and down the court. This is proven by the number of assists and rebounds he converts as well as points.

This year could be the first time he reaches the playoffs. If the Bulls do that, Levine will be a solid reason for their success.

Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo has also got off to a remarkable start so far this season. The Milwaukee Bucks superstar has continued on from his incredible 2021 NBA Finals to provide his team with plenty of spectacular points.

Recently, the star performer experienced a successful 27th birthday by scoring 15 points in the last quarter against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Bucks finished up winning that encounter 112-104, with Antetokounmpo’s contribution invaluable.

Aside from his sheer strength and ability, the one thing many observers feel about Antetokounmpo is that he may be getting even better. A scary thought indeed for his rivals.

Teams looking likely

The start of the NBA season has left many thinking that the Nets, Bulls, Warriors, and Bucks will all be among those competing for the highest prizes.

The Eastern Conference in particular looks like it will be a strongly fought battleground with three of those teams in the current top places.

In the Western Conference, the Warriors’ biggest rivals look to be the Phoenix Suns who have also only lost four of their opening 24 games.

The Suns will be hoping to go one step even further than last season when they lost out to the Bucks in the final of the championship. With such a good start already behind them, the team from Phoenix look to be strong contenders.
