3 Items to Keep In Your Vehicle

You never predict that you are going to be in an unfortunate situation that you are stranded with your car. There are a number of things that can go wrong. You could get a flat tire, your car stops working, you were in an accident, or inclement weather is not safe to drive in. Whatever reason you find yourself on the side of the road and not able to move, you want to be prepared. You never know how long you will be stuck, especially if you are in the middle of nowhere on a road trip. Calling a tow truck as soon as you find your vehicle not working is smart because the sooner they can get to you the better. 

Car Emergency Kit

There are quite a few items that you should keep in your vehicle at all times in case of an emergency. Your vehicle should have a spare tire and jack if you find yourself in a situation with a flat tire. Have jumper cables so if it is your battery, another vehicle could help you to get on your way. Have extra oil and water in case the engine needs it. In case of a catastrophic event like a fire, a fire extinguisher is another emergency item that you should keep in your vehicle. Lastly, a reflective triangle is an item that many disregard but can provide safety on the side of the road. 

First Aid Kit

Many times you are stuck on the side of the road, it may not be very serious. But there is a small chance that youll be stuck on the side of the road and you need some kind of medical care. It may be small cut, or if you were in an accident and need to wrap a wound. Regardless of the sitatuion, you want to be prepared and be able to take care of things to the best of your ability. Good things to have would be bandaids, gauze, antiseptic spray, painkillers, sterile gloves, and scissors. This way you are prepared in an unfortuanate circumstance. 

Extreme Weather Kit

Depending on where you live, you may have more extreme weather than other places. If you live in a locatoin that has really harsh winters it is important that you have certain items in your vehicle. If you are stranded in below freezing tempatures, its vital that you are prepared. Have warm blankets, have plenty of water, some snacks and proper clothing. Proper clothing would include, warm shoes and socks, jackets, beanies, and gloves in case you are stuck for a long time are have to walk. If you are travleing during the summer have snacks, water, and good shoes for walking if needed. 

Be Prepared

No matter where you are going, there is a chance that you could be stuck in your car. If you find yourself in that kind of situation, youll be glad to be prepared. Having all the items in vehicle that you could need makes emergencies less stressful. Have emergency items for your vehicle, a first aid kit, and proper items for the season that you are traveling in.
